Golf club and snooker club form partnership
Cleeve Hill Golf Club in Gloucestershire has formed a unique partnership with a local snooker club.
Pockets Snooker Centre in Cheltenham has purchased a golf simulator and has given access to it to David Finch, the professional at Cleve Hill.
He will give tuition to Pockets’ customers and even be allowed to sell merchandise to snooker players who want to give golf a go.
“This is an ideal partnership of duel self-promotion as the golf club could enjoy extra members taking up the sport from the 2,000-strong Pockets’ membership,” said Dave Archibold from ProTee UK, which supplied the simulator.
“Snooker club members who choose to try out golf have the knowledge and experience on hand to encourage their new interest as well.”
The simulator opened this week and the club runs a ‘nearest the pin’ competition every Monday featuring cash prizes.
