Managers raise £1,500 for charity

15th January, 2012 by Jenny Yu

Golf club managers have raised £1,500 for Children in Need and the England & Wales Blind Golf Association. The money has been split evenly and was donated recently.

At the Golf Club Managers’ Association (GCMA) conference in November, 260 delegates and exhibitors put money into a raffle to win a snooker cue signed by John Parrott MBE, who donated the prize.

“John not only entertained everyone admirably, but also donated a top quality signed snooker cue, which was the main prize in the charity raffle,” said Keith Lloyd, the GCMA’s CEO.”

The winner of the cue was Gill Bridle, who works for the GCMA.

“It was almost unbelievable,” added Keith, “that Gill was the lucky recipient!”
