Secretary / Manager – Notts Golf Club

Notts. Golf Club (Hollinwell), established in 1887, is widely recognised as one of the top inland golf courses in the UK.

The position:

  • • A wide ranging role involving day to day management of all aspects of the club’soperations, acting to deliver the policies determined by the Committee.

Responsibilities:

  • • To implement Committee policies through leadership, directing and channellingdepartmental heads to deliver excellence in all aspects of the Club’s operations.
  • • To maintain the facilities, services and standards expected within a privatemembers’ club, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for members, and visitors.
  • • To promote the club and course through the constant development of marketingstrategies and the maintenance of relationships with a wide range of externalcontacts.
  • • To ensure the day to day financial and accounting operations of the Club areproperly maintained including the preparation of monthly financial reports andannual budgets and to assist in the development of long term financial planning.

The Candidate:

  • • Will be able to demonstrate a track record of success in leading and managing a small but complex business, not necessarily in a golf club environment.
  • • Will be able to appreciate the current and future financial needs of a modernprogressive club and have an awareness of how to market and develop its potential.
  • • Must possess excellent inter-personal skills and communication abilities necessaryto deal with the wide ranging groups associated with a Club of this stature.

Compensation Package:

A level of remuneration and other aspects of an overall compensation package, reflective of the importance of this position, will be offered to the successful candidate.
